Health and safety concerns are mounting amongst residents living on Oak Lake following a large manure spill last month.
On Feb. 26, both the Ministry of Environment and Climate Change and Hastings Prince Edward Public Health were notified of an agricultural waste leak. The MOECC is reportedly still investigating and monitoring a large the spill where farmer Greg Barr was charged with permitting the discharge of material into Oak Lake in Quinte West. The Ministry has yet to return phone calls or emails regarding the investigation.
